About Us
The African Muslim Information Centre of South Australia is an association of African Muslim organisations, institutions and communities in South Australia, which seeks to promote consultation and cooperation on Islamic and community affairs among African Muslim communities. It is guided and informed by the principles of Islam and the laws of the commonwealth of Australia in its aims, policies, and activities. The Centre commits to the value of faith, family, community, transparency, democracy, equality, hard work and responsibility.
Vision
To promote cooperation and strengthen relationships among African Muslim organisations and communities in South Australia and to support African Muslims in their efforts to practise Islam without fear and to contribute positively to Australia
Mission

To improve understanding about Islam and Muslims in South Australia.

To provide representation to State and Federal governments on issues involving African Muslim communities in South Australia

To improve relationships with the wider community and contribute towards the good of society as a whole.

To provide Islamic religious services to African Muslims in accordance with Islamic teachings, traditions and rites

To promote, organise and encourage religious, cultural and recreational activities among African Muslims

To establish an ethnic school where both children and adults will learn the Arabic language and get a better understanding of the religion and culture
